Description
The Screwdriver is one of the simplest and most well-known cocktails in existence. According to legend, it got its name from American oil workers who stirred vodka and orange juice with a screwdriver for lack of a spoon. The drink is essentially a Gin Orange where the gin is replaced by vodka, resulting in a cleaner, fruitier taste. Its quality depends directly on the quality of its two ingredients. With a high-quality vodka and freshly squeezed juice, it is a timeless and refreshing classic.
Preparation
- Fill a highball glass with plenty of ice cubes.
- Pour the vodka over the ice.
- Slowly top up with freshly squeezed, chilled orange juice.
- Stir gently.
- Garnish with an orange slice.
